The Program

The Corporate Service Corps was launched in 2008 to help communities around the world solve critical problems while providing IBM employees unique leadership development opportunities. By sending groups of 10 – 15 individuals from different countries for community-based assignments in emerging markets, the program has helped over 140,000 people since its inception.

The Project

Trag Fondacija – The leading local foundation in Serbia that supports community development through grants, capacity building and philanthropy promotion. During its 16 years of supporting community development, Trag Fondacija has supported over 1200 projects with over 5 million Euros in 200 communities.

Developing a Corporate Volunteering Program (CVP) package for the business clients of Trag Fondacija which could be easily replicated across their multiple clients. The key deliverable will be a CVP toolkit including corporate and employee questionnaires, guidelines for CVP proposals, and sample CVP implementation models.

The Impact

Bringing companies and civil society together with the ultimate goal to facilitate their cooperation and engagement in capacity-building activities for CSOs throughout Serbia

My Experience

No where in the world I think I would have got an opportunity to work with the team consisting of individuals from 12 different countries located at the same place. It enhances your cultural acumen so much that you can literally learn to work with anyone in the world. Something only IBM can empower you to do. I took great pride in working with the best of minds in IBM. This gave me my first opportunity to face the press and be on national television, something I will cherish all my life.
